Big Mouth is A. Rey Pamatmat, a Filipino-American playwright currently living in Queens, New York. He received a B.F.A. in Drama (Acting) at New York University/Tisch School of the Arts and a M.F.A. in Playwriting at The Yale School of Drama. Play Rey Play is his personal blog about his playwriting and the things that inspire it.

The world premiere of his play DEVIANT kicked off the 2005 — 2006 season of the Vortex Theatre Company, an evening of his short works High/Limbo/High were produced as part of the 2004 Queer@HERE Festival, and he has had other short works and collaborations produced at the Yale Cabaret. His plays Picture 24, DEVIANT, and New received workshops at the Yale School of Drama. New York staged readings include: Unstick the Woman at Playwrights' Horizons and The Lark Play Development Center; New at New Dramatists, and Undulating Movements on the Surface at the Ma-Yi Theatre Company and the Vortex Theater Company. His first play A Simple Footnote in the History of Jeremy — written after Rey got dumped by a foolish man who now realizes only too well what he's missing — was produced at NYU's Shop Theater in October 1995.

Currently, Rey is a Resident Artist for the 05 — 06 Season at Mabou Mines, where he is developing Beautiful Day, a new play that will be presented there in February 2006. He is an ongoing member of The Ma-Yi Theatre Company's Writer's Lab, which will present a work to be announced in June 2006. Rey was a member of the HB Playwrights Foundation Playwright's Lab from 2003 until it's dissolution in spring 2005. He was a 2002 Truman Capote Literary Fellow, a 2002 Heidemann Award Finalist (for Limbo), and a 2003 and 2005 Playwrights' Center PlayLab Finalist (for New and Unstick the Woman, respectively).

His non-theatrical writings have appeared in various now-defunct '90's 'zines (remember how much we all loved 'zines?), and his essay "Problems" was published in Alyson Publications anthology Generation Q.
