A friend from Taiwan once told me that he knew a guy was gay because he could just "smell it". While this was clearly the Chinese language version of gaydar little did either of us know that smell is indeed what sets off our queer radar.

As reported in the National Geographic and Medical News Today the brains of gay men and women respond similarly to the smell of male sweat.

Some have argued that this provides further evidence that being queer is biological and perhaps hope that this might quell foes of queer rights. Unfortunately, those who hate us probably will always come up with way to continue hating us. If it's social they will try to brainwash us to not be queer and if it's biological they will probably try genetic or biological engineering.

I say why don't we all just stop and smell the roses or better yet some armpits for a while.

In a groundbreaking discovery its been reported that Queer Eye's Jai Rodriguez may not have the queer eye after all.

The Boston Hearald reported that fashion maven Carson Kressley insited that Jai is a "certified pickel bleep" but Carson's promise seems to have been ignored by the queer gosip mill.

Perhaps Jai should just go for the straight label because then he'd actually have an excuse for the super lame culture segments.

Activists are calling a recent ruling against a bookstore owner in Taiwan "a setback for the rights of Taiwan's homosexual community." (Taipei Times)

According to the Taipei Times article " Lai Jeng-jer 賴正哲, the owner of Gin Gin's Bookstore in Taipei, was found guilty on Tuesday by the Keelung District Court for selling "indecent" magazines and faces 50 days in prison. The sentence came two years after Lai, whose bookstore specializes in gay and lesbian literature, was charged."
