It doesn't take a private investigator to uncover explicit racism in the queer community, just go to a online chat room or read some personal ads. According to Sexual Racism Sux statements like No fats, no fems, no Asians. Not interested in arrogant, effeminate guys, asians or guys with attitude. Seeking other similar good-looking masculine guys, no fems, no asians please. Not into blacks or latins are sexually racist statements and should be tolerated no more so than an employment ad stating something like blacks need not apply
The Sexual Racism Sux website spends a good bit of time asking queers to use nicer, more affirmative language such as:
"More comfortable with other black guys" rather than "No whites please"

In case you haven't noticed there are now more than just a few gay porn blogs in the blogosphere. Most of these porn blogs feature a string of gay pornstar photos, gay porn websites, and updates on new porn releases. But I'm starting to wonder if these porn blogs are just the latest marketing ploy by the gay porn industry to drive traffic to paid sites. The Michael Phelps bulge photo above is just one of the many very popular current queer porn blog entires.
I'm not sure if it matters or not if a porn blog is a schill for the porn industry since most people visiting the sites are probably just looking for a cheap way to see a bunch of sex photos. But if you're really interested, just take a gander at the links on the blog. While it's common to have a lot of links on a blog if you see a blog littered with links with words like "big cock" or "hot gay sex" and they link to a porn site this could be one big hint.
I'm told there are some decent gay porn blogs our their that are worth checking out so if you think that porn blogs are great and offer a great way to find and see some free sexy photos and videos you should check out the links below. On the other hand if you think porn blogs are repugnant and send the queer community back into the dark ages just skip the links below or check them out so you can bitch about them later.

MTV Networks finally launched LOGO, their first LBGT-centered cable TV channel. After a couple of weeks of watching, I must say I am hooked. It is at the top of my favorite channel list, and our TIVO is set to record "First Comes Love," "Acting Out: Having the Guts to Play Gay," "Film Series," and certainly, anything with keyword "Lesbian!"
As on their website, this channel and its programming is done with elegance, and defying stereotypes. Yes, they exist for a reason, but it's also great to see programming that slightly intersects with our community, and is not only driven by queer sex scenes and drama (for more of that - remember Queer as Folk & L Word!)
Any other fans OUT there?
I am a homosexual, female-lovin', true lesbian. Labels galore, I have also been referred to as femme, gallina, lipstick lesbian, and yes, *gasp*, QUEER.
From the Merriam-Webster dictionary
QUEER
Pronunciation: 'kwir
Function: adjective
Etymology: origin unknown
1 a : WORTHLESS, COUNTERFEIT b : QUESTIONABLE, SUSPICIOUS
2 a : differing in some odd way from what is usual or normal b (1) : ECCENTRIC, UNCONVENTIONAL (2) : mildly insane : TOUCHED c : absorbed or interested to an extreme or unreasonable degree : OBSESSED d (1) often disparaging : HOMOSEXUAL (2) sometimes offensive : GAY 4b
3 : not quite well
Do I really care about labels? Well, not really when I'm living in my gay-loving bubble that is New York City. But as soon as I step out of it, I do not want to give homophobes the pleasure of me labeling myself as questionable, worthless, or even not quite well. Sure, if they see me as eccentric, unconventional, or even mildly insane, now that would be a moment to celebrate.

It looks like homophobic officals in Russia and Latvia are in a race to prove their homophobia.
According to MosNews.com Russian queers are planning to apply for a permit to hold a gay pride event "May 27, 2006 — the anniversary of the abolition of laws against homosexuality in 1993."
While the permit has yet to be requested the Mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov, has already promised to reject the permit claiming "to protect the feelings of Muscovites, who wuld ddefinitely oppose such an event."
If Luzhkov rejects the permit it will be a repeat of a refusal to grant a permit in 2001 by Moscow officials.
Lets hope that the continued anti-queer comments by elected officials don't incite any more hate and violence.

Reason number 8,973 to hate media giant Clear Channel
Media giant Clear Channel Communications which owns over 1,200 radio stations , 30 TV stations, and who knows how many billboards recently removed a Gay.com billboard in Massachusetts after getting complaints from a fringe anti-gay group
Is it too optimistic to think that queers might stand up to the he right wing group and let Clear Channel know that we queers think it's unacceptable to cave into bigots and that we won't listen to their radio stations, buy from their advertisers, or buy their stock until they stand up against bigotry?
If I were more of an activist I might encourage you to contact Clear Channel's head of communications, Lisa Dolliinger, and let her know that you want Clear Channel to stop the gay bigotry.

But instead maybe I'll just leave that decision up to you and I'll get back to listening to my favorite gay podcasts, the wonderfully wacky Wanda Wisdom, the totally terrific Twinkleboi and the ridiculously fantastic Ragan Fox podcasts.
